Kajal Aggarwal repeating her white-dress magic for Thupaki
Kajal Aggarwal is superstitious and Princess admits it. Princess not only wants to give her best to her characters but also wishes to bring good fortunes to the films in which she acts. Well, the Naan Mahaan Alla gal believes that so far white has proved to be a lucky colour for her movies and through it, Princess wants to repeat the same for her upcoming Tamil movie Thupaki.
Princess claims that the movies have turned out to be massive hits, whenever she has sported white-dress for her first shots. Giving examples of Telugu blockbuster Magadheera, which was dubbed in Tamil as Maaveeran, and her debut Bollywood movie Singham. The 26-year-old had given her introduction sequence wearing white-dress and hopes to continue the same magic for Vijay's Thupaki.
Meanwhile, Kajal Aggarwal's wish has been granted by AR Murugadoss. We hear that she has shot her first scene wearing white costume in Thupaki too.

Hindi Magadheera confirm with Ranbir Kapoor... Kajal new Movie Confrim
So ‘Magadheera’ is finally going to be made in Hindi soon. There are all sorts of crazy rumours spreading over the cinema world about who would be the hero in the Hindi remake. So, whether you believe it or not, there is certainly a huge amount of speculation as to whether this will happen in Hindi! But director Anurag Kashyap who along with Vikas Bhal bought the remake rights of the sensational hit movie ‘Magadheera’ says there is no denying that the film is going to be remade in Hindi and is bound to have a huge influx of cinema goers queuing to see it, just the way it was in Telugu. The movie is expected to go on the sets in this year only.
Regarding who would replace Ram Charan in the Hindi version, first we heard of Hrithik Roshan’s name, then Ranbir Kapoor. However the latter turned out to be the hero. And to know the details of the heroine and other star cast, stay tuned!
Kajal has signed 2 films in Telugu now. One is NTR’s film in the direction of Srinu Vaitla. The other movie is Ram Charan Tej’s film in the direction of VV Vinayak.

Kajal wants to do a Charles Angles
Kajal wants to do more than a sword-wielding princess' role that she did in Magadheera. She wants to go the full hog on donning a girl who brandishes the rapier in style. Yes, she wants to do a Charles Angles role if that ever comes her way. She said this at a press meet held in Hyderabad yesterday.
Even as she made a bold wish known to the world, Kajal preferred not to talk about the smooching scene in Businessman. "I don't want to talk much about that. The scene was infused in the movie as per the need of the script" she shot back.
Kajal is totally in love with Mahesh's dekko acting performance in Businessman. Saying that she was happy to have acted with him, the actress said she would like to see none but Mahesh in the Hindi remake as well. "I can't imagine anyone else in the role."
She had compliments for Puri Jagannadh. "He made me portray both love and hate in the character."
Kajal denies partying with Prabhas
Rumours always spread aganist the lead pair of the movie if both of them are single. The same happened with Prabhas and Princess Kajal Aggarwal.
A section of the media recently claimed that Kajal Aggarwal was in Bangkok on New Year's eve, and welcomed 2012 in the company of Tollywood actor Prabhas. Both shared the screen space together in the super hit movie 'Mr Perfect'.
"I am not dating anyone. I am very much single. It's absolute rubbish that I was with Prabhas during New Year's eve. I spent the day with my family members," says the princess, who was always open about her relationship status and always maintains that she would like to be in a relationship but the work is sufficient for present and that she would be disclose if she commits into a relationship. So folks Kajal Aggarwal is still single and happy working for her upcoming projects, so dont fall into the rumours of the press.
The Princess is also elated about the success of her movie in Tollywood, 'Businessman', Princess says, "This year is crucial for me as I have Maatraan and Thupaki with Vijay. Also, my sister Nisha is making her debut in Kollywood with Ishtam."
Let us whole heartldly support her and hope she continues with her success run throught out this year and in all her upcoming projects

Kajal Aggarwal gets talking about her lip-lock with Mahesh Babu and her friendship with actor Prabhas
Your latest movie, "Businessman" is a hit. Do you think you've consolidated your position as the Queen of T-Town?
I'm extremely choosy and picky about the kind of roles I do. I've always wanted to do good cinema and that's been my sole focus. Being the 'Queen of Tollywood' is a fancy title that the people and media bestow upon you, according to their convenience. So, I don't pay much heed to that. I'll continue doing my kind of cinema and nothing changes that... not even a hit or a miss.
Three releases in 2011, but only "Mr Perfect" did well at the BO. Did the failure of your films bother you?
The year 2011 was extremely busy for me with "Mr Perfect", "Dhada" and "Veera". Yes, only "Mr Perfect" did well, while "Veera" did manage to make some money. "Dhada" of course disappointed. Look, you do feel bad when your movies don't do well at the BO, but then you get up, dust yourself and move on. It's not possible for every film of mine to be a super duper hit. I learn to take it in my stride and don't feel jittery about it. And now look, I have a "Businessman".
Puri Jagannath plans to remake "Businessman" in Hindi. Are you part of the Hindi remake as well?
As far as I know, Puri sir has not come to the casting yet. He hasn't spoken to me about it. But yes, if he does offer me the Hindi remake, I'll be more than glad to do it. As a script and as story, our film will be accepted in any language.
Now tell us about the kiss ka kissa. Everyone is talking about your lip-lock with Mahesh Babu.
There is a lot more to the story than just the lip-lock between Mahesh and me. It wasn't supposed to be something sensual. It was meant to portray the conflict between both the characters and that's how it ended up being on screen. Puri sir shot it very aesthetically and thankfully the audience has perceived it that way too. And anyway I wouldn't do anything that is overtly titillating or vulgar because I want to be able to watch my films with my family and friends.
Not too long ago, there was a spate of negative publicity surrounding you...
I wasn't bothered because it was all rubbish. I've learnt that if you're a known face, controversies tend to come up now and then. People do talk, yes. Some of it is good and some of it is utter nonsense. My family and friends knew what I was doing, so I didn't really care about the negative publicity.
So, when the whole nude photo-shoot controversy happened, why didn't you come out strongly to defend yourself?
Why should they gain publicity? I realized that if I spoke too much about it, it would only help boost the sales of the magazine. What they did was wrong and unethical and I didn't want them to gain more publicity out of it.
You debut Hindi flick, "Singham" was a blockbuster. Did it leverage your career in B-Town?
It feels great when your debut is a blockbuster. After the release of "Singham" I did get a lot of offers, but then I was already doing films in Telugu and Tamil and dates were a problem. So I had to turn down a lot of offers. To be honest, I'm in no hurry to make it big in Hindi cinema. I'm very content with my life and career right now. I love the movies that I'm doing down South. For me, it's very important to play characters that are satisfying. I just don't believe in merely being a wallflower. In fact, I'll start shooting for my Hindi film by March. I can't talk about it right now as an official announcement is yet to be made.
Now that you have a blockbuster in your kitty, will the zeroes on your pay cheque increase?
I never speak about my remuneration. Plus, I've never been demanding and money is not the biggest priority. I've always gotten more than I asked for from my father. Yes, money is essential, but it is not just riches I'm after. For me it's important to make the right decisions in life now. Money will follow.
Tell us about you and Prabhas...
Oh my God! The media will not let the Prabhas story to rest. Look, in this industry, everyone has been linked with everyone and this case too is no exception. If two people are single and the media thinks they make a good pair, link-up stories start doing the rounds. But sorry to disappoint you guys, there's nothing going on between Prabhas and me.
I guess it's too early to even talk about marriage, right?
Marriage? No chance. Where is the time, dude? I wish I had dates, I would have definitely tied the knot ! (laughs)
With whom? Prabhas?
Why Prabhas? Don't you guys have anyone else for me? He is a good friend, but not him, please.
Kajal all set to conquer Bollywood town next
With another blockbuster success under her belt, actress Kajal Agarwal sure is ruling the roost in Tollywood. The actress, who seems to be the director’s first choice, has bagged her second B’town film. High on the success of Bodyguard, she talks to us about her link-up with actor Prabhas and other rumors.
The actress agrees to have signed another Bollywood venture, but will wait for the production house to announce the project first before naming it. She says, “I have signed a nice movie, and am excited about the film. The shooting will begin in March. More details will be announced in February.”
Talking about the rumour doing the rounds that she was spending time with Prabhas in Bangkok, she says, “It’s not true. I was with my family for New Year. If there is something, I will surely reveal it. It's just that I have two films with him that linked me with him. If I work with people it doesn’t mean I am dating them. We are good friends and he is a wonderful co-star to work with, other than that there is nothing. We were not hanging out together anywhere,” she says adding, “I don’t have many friends in Tollywood. Only Samantha is close to me while others are mostly my school friends. I am a very private person,” she concludes.
On being involved with and excited about Genelia’s wedding she says, “I am not that close to her, but am excited and happy for her finding a great life partner.” The actress has five releases this year and is working with Surya, Vijay while her Hindi co-star is yet to be announced.
I enjoyed Businessman more as a viewer - Kajal
The entire team of ‘Businessman’ is in a celebration mood at its box-office success worldwide and Kajal is no exception. After watching the film in Dubai and Mumbai along with her family and friends, she is equally rejoicing her success. On this occasion she spoke to the media and shared her happiness. Here are some excerpts:
Kajal said in her acceptance speech, “I would like to thank the fans, my technicians who worked hard day and night and Puri Jagan who gave me this wonderful opportunity. I watched ‘Businessman’ in Dubai and also in Mumbai. I enjoyed the film more as one of the viewers in theater.”

Kajal is senti about colour white
Some celebrities change the way their names are spelt for lady luck to smile at them and some sport lucky charms, say stone pendants rings, and the like. Here we have a maid who is sentimental in wearing white attire for her first take in all her films, and it is none other than Kajal Aggarwal!
The actress is at the moment filming for AR Murugadoss' 'Thupakki'. Sources reveal that for the first shot involving Kajal Agarwal, the actress was swathed in white attire. It seems, for all her previous blockbusters in Tamil (Naan Mahan Alla), Telugu (Magadheera) and Hindi (Singham), she had sported a white dress and all these films turned out to be huge hits for the actress.
It is said that when the actress asked AR Murugadoss if she could sport a white dress for her first shot, the director willingly agreed. 'Thupakki' is an action suspense thriller from Murugadoss and sees the Tamil superstar Vijay (whose Snehithudu is scheduled to release later this month) playing a suave avatar.
We have to wait and watch if Kajal has a white-dress scene in The Businessman!
Kajal Agarwal prays at Tirumala
"After Magadheera, Kajal considers Businessman as the most important film of her career in Tollywood. Being an ardent devotee of the Tirupati Lord, she visited the holy hills to pray for the film's success," sources say.
Starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role, 'Businessman', which is hitting the screens for Sankaranthi in about 1600 theatres, will be released soon in Tamil and Malayalam too.
In Kollywood, Kajal is currently shooting with Suriya for K V Anand's 'Maatraan'. While her sister Nisha Aggarwal (who was recently seen in Solo) is set to make her debut opposite Vimal in 'Ishtam', which is a remake of Tollywood hit 'Yemaindi Ee Vela.'
Kajal won't do insubstantial roles
You can't convince Kajal Agarwal with an inconsequential or an insubstantial role. She says that she won't accept a role if it has no significant part to play in the film. She drives home the point that, for all the talk of heroines losing their pride of place in today's films, they are getting occasional meatier roles.
In her case, says the cuddly-cute actress, her roles in the movies Lakshmi Kalyanam, Chandamama and Mr. Perfect were very important. While in the case of the first two, there could not have been a film without the heroine's character, in the case of Mr. Perfect, her role was memorable. Magadheera is another film in which the heroine (Kajal as Mitravinda) was an integral part of not one, but two, stories.
That said, Kajal draws our attention to the prevailing scenario in Tamil and Hindi. Wherever you go, Kajal seems to say, heroines are getting meaty roles only occasionally and not regularly. Just because two or three films with heroine having a larger share of the pie are made, you can't say that the balance is gradually tilting towards the diva.
Well, Kajal is indeed right. One observes the trend that doesn't seem to catch up with a regularity. Heroes have solidified their position in Tollywood, Bollywood and Kollywood. Against this background, heroines can only hope to play worthy roles only once a while.
There is space for everyone, feels Kajal
If you ask Kajal Agarwal, she says that there is space for everyone in the industry and there is no point in making a desperate bid to grab roles. The candid actress seems to suggest that since each heroine has her unique qualities and the filmmakers know who suits best for a role, the brouhaha about competition between heroines is irrelevant.
She doesn't in any way suggest that there doesn't exist competition among heroines. All that she means to say is that everybody will have their share of the pie. "A role doesn't come to us when we want it. Every director intuitively knows which actress is suitable for the role in his mind. And he would draft only that heroine," she points out.
The actress is fast making strides in Telugu and Tamil. Proud of the fact that she is among the top heroines who is now considered as someone who deserves to be cast opposite crazy stars from Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Prabhas to NTR, she gleefully acknowledges that she is lucky in that respect.
Kajal has had an eventful 2011 and her film, The Businessman, is scheduled to release on Jan. 13. Said to be one of the highest paid actresses in South India, she famously acted opposite Ajay Devgn in Singham.
